How long does each session go for?
A standard session with Suzette is approximately 50 minutes.
Are Telehealth appointments available?
Yes, Suzette offers online appointments via video or phone consultation.
Do I need a referral to make an appointment?
You do not require a written referral to attend psychology sessions, however a referral from a GP may provide you with access to Medicare rebates.
Am I eligible for a Medicare rebate?
To be eligible for a Medicare rebate, speak to your GP, who will assess whether you qualify for a Mental Health Treatment Plan. If eligible, your GP will provide you with a referral and a plan, allowing you to claim a Medicare rebate for up to 10 psychology sessions per calendar year.
For individuals with an Eating Disorders Plan, Medicare rebates are available for up to 40 sessions with a psychologist, along with additional dietetic support.
To be able to claim a Medicare rebate for your session, you will need to bring both your referral letter and Mental Health Treatment Plan to your first appointment.
Are rebates available through private health insurance?
If you are not claiming rebates through Medicare, you may be able to claim a rebate on sessions through your private health insurance, depending on your extras benefits. Please contact your insurance company for specific information about the cover that is provided.
When are appointments available?
Monday: 9:15 am – 7 pm
Tuesday: 9:15 am – 7 pm
Wednesday: 9:15 am – 7 pm
Thursday: 9:30 am – 3 pm
Do you offer in-person sessions?
Yes, face-to-face sessions are available on Tuesdays in Elsternwick and on Thursdays in Cheltenham. All other appointments are via Telehealth video sessions.
What are your session fees?
Session fees range from $235–$260 depending on time and location. Please contact me directly to confirm the fee for your appointment.
Note: If eligible, you can claim a Medicare Rebate of $145.25 per session.
What is your cancellation policy?
If for some reason you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please contact Suzette as early as possible to ensure that your reserved appointment time can be free to be offered to someone else.
Please be aware that for clients calling to cancel or rearrange an appointment within 24 hours of the appointment time, you will be charged a cancellation fee (Medicare and Insurance rebates cannot be claimed for this cancellation fee).
